The 100% Dutch company Gentiluomo International was founded in 1993 in Amsterdam. From the beginning its core business was excellent shirt making for individual men.
Key was the strong believe in the ability to deliver pure, premium fashion to retailers and consumers based on Italian flavor, creativity and credibility. From 1995 the collection was developed and a selection of knits, jerseys and accessories was added to the existing Gentiluomo shirt line.
In 1997 there was the introduction of the Tailor made program proposing exclusive, high quality Italian shirts on demand. Gradually the Gentiluomo label became more renowned and was sold at major retailers in the Benelux. The start of a new Millennium in 2000 convinced Gentiluomo to start fresh with a new logo and corporate brand identity.
In 2003 the company moved to its new, modern headquarters in Amsterdam-Zuidoost and presented a total look concept, introducing formal tailoring. Only one year later a new brand -Genti- was developed and introduced to the world of fashion. More brand awareness was created by presenting Genti at the annual Amsterdam tradeshow Modefabriek.
Olympic fever brought Piet Zoomers, Gentiluomo and the Dutch Olympic Team together into a successful cooperation for Turin 2006. Tempted by sportive success for our national pride ‘The Dutch National Soccer Team, Official Supplier Piet Zoomers joined up with the creative team of Gentiluomo to dress and impress at the World Cup 2006 in Germany, the European Cup 2008 in Switzerland / Austria and finally for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
